Beyond the Survey Vessel: How We’re Reimagining Dredging Operations
Traditionally, dredging relies heavily on expensive, time-consuming hydrographic surveys. At Halcyon Sensing, we are developing a powerful alternative. By integrating satellite imagery with machine learning and numerical modeling, we are building a comprehensive toolkit designed to accelerate project timelines while significantly reducing costs.
Operational Efficiency We are engineering a system to utilize Satellite Derived Bathymetry (SDB) for predicting dredged volumes and tracking sandbar migration remotely. Our goal is to enable teams to estimate project scope and mobilization requirements before a survey vessel ever leaves the dock.
Environmental Compliance We are also developing data fusion approaches to monitor environmental impact in real-time. The system is being designed to track turbidity plumes and sedimentation rates, ensuring operations remain within regulatory compliance without the need for constant physical sampling.
